I thought Ghosts of Boston Town might be of use for my research of nineteenth century America. I turned out to be very wrong. I also underestimated how boring the haunting of Boston could be. Admittedly some of the stories from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries have some historical value, but Holly Nadler spends the majority of the book documenting how some dude she talked to once was Yet, the majority of the stories in GHOSTS OF BOSTON TOWN were featured in Yankee Magazine and other publications many years' ago and I can locate them all in my living room within a few minutes.
In other words, I had read these stories before and liked them much better the first time. In the few "original" stories in the book, the author › Books › Religion & Spirituality › Occult & Paranormal. This book is certainly just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Boston's ghost stories and I would certainly love to see a second volume someday.
